About the Grant

The U.S. Kids Golf Foundation, in partnership with the family of the late Dewey Crim, the Foundation's first chairman, is pleased to offer the Dewey Crim Equipment Grant.

This grant provides golf equipment and learning resources to qualified U.S. Kids Golf Certified Coaches who serve kids and families through golf but lack the resources to meet their program's needs, helping bridge the gap by supporting coaches who are introducing the game to kids in their communities.

The Crim family provides initial and long-term funding for the grant. "My dad believed that the right clubs and the right coaching would make kids lifelong golfers," said Mark Crim. "There's no better way to honor him than helping more kids play golf."

To Apply

To be considered for the Dewey Crim Equipment Grant, applicants must be U.S. Kids Golf Certified Coaches who are actively listed in the Find-A-Coach Directory and maintain accounts in good standing with U.S. Kids Golf. In addition, any Learning Program seeking support must be open to the general public and serve the broader public good. Private or exclusive programs are not eligible.

Coaches may apply for and receive a grant once per calendar year. Submitted applications may be subject to additional screening, which could include a follow-up phone call or Zoom meeting to better understand the program and its needs. The U.S. Kids Golf Foundation serves as the final administrator over all grant recipients and retains full discretion over how each grant is awarded and dispersed.
