The Four Pillars

Driven By Our Mission

Over the past 30 years, our work has grown to connect equipment, coaching, and tournaments under one mission: to help kids have fun learning the lifelong game of golf and to encourage family interaction that builds lasting memories.

Our Four Pillars guide how we bring that mission to life.

Pillar 1

Family First

Family is the foundation of the U.S. Kids Golf experience.

Golf offers families an opportunity to spend time together, share challenges, and create lasting memories. U.S. Kids Golf has made family participation a defining part of its tournament experience by welcoming parents and grandparents as caddies and active partners in a junior player's journey.

This approach recognizes that families are not simply observers of player development. They are often the ones who introduce children to the game, encourage them through challenges, and help them discover the satisfaction of improvement.

Whether walking the course together, celebrating a great shot, or learning through challenges, these shared experiences help build relationships that extend far beyond the game.

Pillar 2

Coaching Built for Kids

A child's introduction to golf can shape their relationship with the game for years to come. That's why we believe great coaches are essential to growing the game.

Since establishing the Top 50 Kids Coaches Award in 2004, U.S. Kids Golf has recognized the importance of coaches who make a meaningful difference in junior golf. Building on that commitment, we launched the U.S. Kids Golf Certified Coach program in 2013, providing golf professionals with the training, resources, and tools needed to make golf fun, engaging, and appropriate for young players.

More than 8,000 coaches across 84 nations have participated in our training, helping bring a better junior golf experience to communities around the world.

Pillar 3

Competition That Fits the Player

Our tournaments give junior players the opportunity to compete, build friendships, and develop a lifelong love for the game. With more than 2,700 events worldwide each year in over 50 countries, U.S. Kids Golf provides a competitive environment designed specifically for junior players at every stage of their development.

From the beginning, U.S. Kids Golf was the first to make family participation a defining part of the tournament experience. What was once considered a radical concept has become a hallmark of U.S. Kids Golf events, and has since been adopted by junior golf tournaments around the world.

Our goal is to make every tournament a positive experience where kids can build confidence, celebrate accomplishments, and create lasting memories.

Pillar 4

A Course Scaled to the Player

Just as properly fitted equipment helps young golfers succeed, we believe the course itself should fit the player. When kids play from distances suited to their abilities, they have more opportunities to make pars and birdies, build confidence, and enjoy the game.

Through innovations like the Longleaf Tee System, U.S. Kids Golf has helped rethink how courses can accommodate players of all ages and skill levels, with tee placements based on ability rather than age or gender.

As players improve, the course can grow with them, providing new challenges that match their development and opportunities for success throughout their golfing journey.
